High in the sky at the Brooklyn Grange, the farm tables at the next Field to Vase Dinner will be adorned with local flowers designed by our guest florist Molly Culver of Brooklyn’s Molly Oliver Flowers.
Molly is a leader in the Slow Flowers Movement, a passionate proponent of using seasonal, sustainable and local flowers in her creations for area weddings and events.
This floral artist walks the talk, designing arrangements using flowers she and her students have grown at the one-acre Youth Farm in Brooklyn’s Crown Hill neighborhood, where Molly is also the farm manager. Or, she teams up with farmer friends in the tri-state region to source straight from fields inside and outside the city.
We love this quote. It couldn’t be more fitting for next week’s wonderful gathering:
“Flowers are food for the soul; they feed me.” — Molly Culver of Molly Oliver Flowers
Your eyes will be filled with the stunning array of flowers, foliage and herbs — botanicals at the peak of the season — setting the tone for our celebration of American grown flowers.
