F2V ventures into a new frontier: ALASKA

Just when we thought the Field to Vase Dinner Tour could not get any better! We are proud to announce we have added a NEW #F2V destination for the 2017 tour.  We will be visiting Scenic Place Peonies in Homer, Alaska on July 29, 2017.  You’ll be dining amid big, beautiful Alaskan grown peonies overlooking the Kenai peninsula. It’s the only place in the world that can grow these beauties from mid to late summer.

Established in the Fall of 2010, Scenic Place Peonies currently has over 5,800 planted roots on their beautiful Alaskan flower farm and is run by the talented Beth Van Sandt. Van Sandt’s peony farm, located at an elevation of 1150 feet with views of the Kenai Peninsula, is a spectacular place to visit.  Rows and rows of colorful peonies overlooking beautiful vistas awaits you at this Field To Vase Dinner.  This special evening takes place in July of 2017, so you have plenty of time to plan your trip to Alaska.  This flower farm was featured in Alaska Airlines’ inflight magazine in a story by Debra Prinzing titled “Peonies from the Last Frontier.”

We have some additional exciting news to share, we’ve partnered with our friends at Sunset Magazine to add another dinner on the 2016 tour.  On October 16, the tour will be heading to Cornerstone in Sonoma to host a dinner in Sunset Magazine’s test garden. More details coming soon.
