Feast Among the Flowers in the Shadow of California’s Capitol Building

Imagine dining on the lawn of California’s state Capitol at tables adorned with the hundreds of flower varieties grown throughout the Golden State. For just the second time ever, we’re inviting guests to Sacramento on June 12, 2019, to dine in the shadow of Capitol building during California Grown Flowers Month.

Your Experience

Your dinner experience will include a feast for the eyes thanks to the innovative tablescapes featuring farm-fresh flowers designed by a renowned American floral designer.

You’ll also enjoy a multi-course artisan meal paired with wine, craft beer and a flower-themed cocktail as you dine alongside flower aficionados, farmers and policymakers while learning about the value of buying and supporting Certified American Grown Flowers.

The Flowers

At this unique venue, guests will see a sampling of the enormous variety of flowers and foliage grown up and down the state of California. Get an up-close experience with more flowers than you’ve ever seen in one place before and meet with the farmers who grew them. Then dine at a sprawling banquet table and rub elbows with the VIPs who make California’s $320 million flower industry a reality.

The Floral Designer

Cindy Magan of Hillside Blooms Floristry will be the featured floral designer at this unique dinner tour stop. Magan, a California native, will be creating breathtaking tablescapes and other installations from the dozens of flower varieties grown up and down the state of California.

Northern California clients appreciate Magan’s on-trend aesthetic, something she calls “fresh romantic,” that features a garden style paired with a special accents to keep the designs current. Think novelty accent flowers, surprise fillers and lots of texture.

Guests at this dinner are in for a treat as they dine on in the shade of the Capitol building at tables adorned with Magan’s lush romantic garden look.

Tour the Capitol

Would you like to have a personally guided tour of the Capitol by one of California’s leading agriculture lawyers? Join George Soares of Kahn, Soares and Conway for an hour-long tour of the Capitol through the eyes of one of California’s leading agriculture experts. Beginning at 3:30 pm, learn about the building, its history and the issues that have been won and lost by agriculture over the years.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are ID requirements as we will be serving wine and beer. If guests are under age 21, they will not be served any alcohol.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Upon arrival to the venue, look for Field to Vase signs. They will guide you to nearby parking.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring your camera or camera phone because you will want to take lots of pictures. Bring a sweater or jacket, as the temperature may go down after the sun sets. Bring comfortable walking shoes for touring the flower farm or greenhouse. What you cannot bring is any wine or alcohol of your own.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Just contact us at info@americangrownflowers.org and let us know.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, please feel free to update your registration information or contact the event coordinator.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can if you like, but we will have a record of your ticket on-hand as well.

What is the refund policy?

We do not offer refunds to dinners already purchased. The event will be held, rain or shine.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
