The Flowers

A wide range of specialty flowers and branches used in innovative floral designs make Red Twig Farms unique. Think ranunculus, daffodils, anemones, tulips and delphinium, located on six acres with dogwood, curly and straight willow, and winterberry. The farm also has 4,500 peony plants in production that produce over 30,000 hand-cut stems each May!

The Flower Farm

Located in central Ohio, Red Twig Farms is a nine-acre family-owned-and-operated cut flower and branch farm. Each spring, farmer Josh McCullough and his team are in the fields morning until night harvesting ranunculus, tulips, daffodils, anemones and peonies (28 varieties). In the fall they’re harvesting dogwood, willow and ilex branches in a variety of color and textures for holiday containers and decor.

The farm was originally created to supply the family landscape business with dogwood and willow branches for container designs. Later, peonies were added to keep the farm active in another season, and in 2018 the farm added new flower varieties to truly diversify.

A farm store on the property is popular with customers and, during peony season, attracts thousands of local customers as well an many who drive from Tennessee, Kentucky, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Farmers Josh and Lindsey and their family live on the property in a farmhouse built in 2014/2015, along with three farm doodles, Wyatt, Emma and Sawyer.

The Designer

Farmer florist Mindy Staton is the featured floral designer for this sold-out stop, the last stop of the 2019 F2V dinner tour.

Staton is an owner of Two Little Buds Florist in Hamilton, Ohio, and a second location in Cincinnati. And she’s a co-owner with husband, Josh, of Morning Sun Flower Farm, a venture they started in 2016 based on Staton’s vision.A wedding and events florist, Staton is known for her flower-heavy designs that are packed with color and texture.

It’s a look she’s excited to bring to the Field to Vase Dinner where she’s planning designs showcasing Red Twigs’ gorgeous dahlias and, of course, red twig branches. Think flowers spilling out of vintage trucks, in compotes along the community dinner table and overhead in the form of arches.

There are just 150 seats at the dinner table. Reserve your seat today!
